  Valois' Motel & Restaurant is a classic North American motel in the style of the late eighties and early nineties. It has its charm but is obviously not up to date. Furniture is old but functional. Television is from the last century. The lock of my patio door was broken and replaced with a wooden stick. However, the view of the nearby Ottawa River is gorgeous. Customer service was very friendly. The dish I had at the restaurant was very delicious. Prices for both the restaurant and the motel are very reasonable. I would definitely come back.

  The best place to stop for a relaxing meal on the 17 between Sudbury and Ottawa. Fantastic service and generous portions!

  Had a burger and fries and sat right near the window looking out at the river. Service was good and the food was comforting and quite good. View was amazing. This is a nice little lunch stop if you're passing through Mattawa.

  Great diner food and view. Motel needs a little TLC but you could do worse. If you're driving cross Canada and need a place to crash, its a very good spot to do so.

  Wonderful service and very reasonable prices. I was arriving late and had to leave early so called ahead and they made sure the room was nice and warm. Also left my bill in the room so I could quickly leave in the morning. Very reasonable price and a clean comfortable room. They forgot the coffee pack for the machine in my room but that was ok.

  The place is also on a beautiful landscape on top of a hill. Take a walk down to the dock for a breathtaking sunset.
